Sustainability in fashion has become a huge movement, especially among Gen Z. As people are learning of the social, economic and environmental impact of fast fashion they are looking for ways to make a difference. Thrifting is only one way you can reduce your footprint while still having fun with fashion and expressing yourself.

Thift shopping has long been a favorite activity for me but not necessarily for sustainabilty reasons. It inspires creativity and I LOVE the thrill of finding unique and high quality pieces for just pocket change!

In light of all this I challenged the MOD Squad: Style an outfit from thrift store finds choosing pieces you would not normally wear AND style them in a fresh and modern way. These girls pushed past their comfort zone and got creative. Then, we got together and did a thrift style runway shoot that was a total blast! I’m not sure that I converted any of them to love thrifting like I do but we sure had fun trying! :)
