Abby - Aurora High School

We are celebrating Abby today! What a fantastic, strong and driven young woman. Sheโ€™s achieved so much in her high school career, with much more potential for success on the horizon!

During her three sessions, she truly radiated joy and charm! We had a fantastic time, beginning in the studio, then wandering through a vibrant wildflower field and a creek at the peak of early summer, and finally concluding at her hometown softball field in Aurora. What a fun adventure with such a lovely girl!

Here are a few of my favorite images paired with a little Q&A with Abby!

What is your favorite quote/words to live by?

โ€œBe grateful for everything, even the moments that challenge you.โ€

How did/will you spend your last summer of high school?

I spent my last summer of high school playing my last year of 16u travel softball, going on vacation, and hanging out with friends and family all the time.

How do you stay active?
What are you involved in?

I play travel softball for the Bullpen Psychos 18u. I have practice every weekend, with hitting on Monday and Tuesdays, and pitching lessons Wednesday nights. Iโ€™m also in school and involved in multiple clubs which are National Honors Society, Jobs for Americas Graduates, Science club, and Future Teachers of America, which all keep me very busy!

What's your one obsession / favorite thing?

My one obsession definitely has to be pasta or sushi. I canโ€™t pick one, but if anyone asks me what I feel like eating, it will always be one of these!

What is your most played song of senior year?

Die With A Smile by Bruno Mars & Lady Gaga. SO good!

What is your proudest accomplishment?

My proudest accomplishment is receiving my CNA, and Phlebotomy and EKG Technician all while being a Junior and Senior in high school!

Where will you be the first year after high school?

I will be attending Crowder College, taking my prerequisites for nursing school. Hopefully living on my own, with friends, or in a house with my boyfriend. I will also work part time or as PRN at Mercy Hospital in Aurora.

Where will you be in 10 years?

In 10 years I will be 27, with a husband and family of my own, with one or two babies. I will be working in the hospital as a Labor and Delivery nurse, and have a house close to home, so I can be near the whole family!

What is your best lesson learned?

Donโ€™t take your memories in high school for granted, because it will truly be over before you know it.

What is your funniest Memory?

Knocking over a porta potty, the first time driving by myself to softball practice, and my whole team staring and dying of laughter.

One thing you'll miss about high school?

Friday night football games, and watching the sunset from the student section every Friday night!

This or That!

Beach or Mountains?

Go out or stay home?

Dogs or Cats?

Summer or Winter?

Sweet or Sour?

Health food or junk food?

Books or Movies?

Thanks for sharing a little piece of your senior year with me Miss Abby! I hope the next few months donโ€™t move too fast and you enjoy every second!
