Samuel - Aurora High School
Today it’s all about Samuel, a seriously outstanding senior from Aurora High School! This guy? Total legend. Picture the most chill, laid-back guy you know, but with a depth of wisdom beyond his years. His quiet demeanor exudes a mysterious quality that was super fun to photograph. Some would say, an old soul.
And! – he brought ALL the dogs to his senior photo shoot. Seriously, I think we set a new record! So, naturally, he's shot straight to the top of my "favorite sessions ever" list. ;)
I'm beyond excited to share some of my absolute favorite shots from Samuel's sessions, plus a little peek into his world with a quick Q&A.
Q: What is your favorite quote/words to live by?
S: “Accept the past, value the future, live in the moment.”
Q: How did/will you spend your last summer of high school?
S: I haven't planned anything yet, but I want to go on a big trip/vacation. I've been to the beach before, but going with my friends now would be very fun.
Q: How do you stay active? What are you involved in?
S: During first semester I did Soccer and we ran 3 miles almost every practice during offseason. Now I go to the gym and run a 100m, 200m and 400m for upcoming track season.
Q: What's your one obsession / favorite thing?
S: My one obsession is music. Music has always been apart of my life with my dad making music, and me doing piano and drum lessons as a kid. Now, I listen to music everyday, trying to listen to new albums I haven't heard before.
Q: What is your most played song of senior year?
S: R.I.P SCREW by Travis Scott. The song is dedicated to DJ Screw, who passed away November 16, 2000. He was known for making melodies chopped and screwed, hinse the name. What I like most about the song is it's beautiful melodies and Travis & Swae Lee's vocals.
Q: What is your proudest accomplishment?
S: My proudest accomplishment is figuring out I am. Growing up, I was weird and didn't understand things. However during the summer before my Junior year I wanted to change, so I did. I am happier and my confident with myself.
Q: Where will you be the first year after high school?
T: I have a few different opportunities/paths I can take, however I'm not sure which one I should take. I could go to welding school and have a job, I could go to college, or put all of my focus into music.
Q: Where will you be in 10 years?
S: In 10 years I hope to be rich and stay connected with my loved ones.
Q: What is your best lesson learned?
S: Have pride, but don't let your ego get ahead of you.
Q: One thing you'll miss about high school
S: One thing I'll miss about high school is spending time with my friends. Soccer was something that brought us together which is something I'm going to miss.
